Frigidaire Washer E11 Error Code
Washer is taking too long to fill on Frigidaire washers.
FrigidaireAll Frigidaire washer codes
Water is trickling in too slowly, so the fill runs past the time the control allows. Supply valves not fully open, kinked hoses, clogged inlet screens, low house pressure or a frozen supply line are the usual causes.
Compatible models
Frigidaire front-loaders, including the FAFW4011LB and FAFW4221LB/LW and the Affinity ATF7000FE. Top-loaders such as the FFTW4120SW show E1 for the same problem.
Also shown as
Many newer Frigidaire top-load models show E1 for the same long-fill problem; one owner's manual says it appears after about an hour of filling. On top-loaders, Frigidaire's first check for E1 is whether the lid is open.
Difficulty
Most people can clear this one at home with simple checks.

How to fix Frigidaire E11
Open both faucets fully
Turn the hot and cold valves all the way on. In cold weather, make sure the lines haven't frozen. On top-load models, close the lid.
Straighten the fill hoses
Check both inlet hoses behind the washer for kinks or crushed sections, and run another tap to confirm the house has normal pressure.
Check the inlet screens
Close both valves and unplug the washer. With a bucket ready, unscrew the hoses and look at the screens in the hose ends and the washer's inlet ports. Frigidaire's top-load guidance is to clean clogged screens. On front-loaders, a Sears PartsDirect service note says heavily clogged valve screens are better handled by replacing the inlet valve, because loosened debris can make it stick open, so don't dig the screens out of the valve. Reconnect the hoses snugly and turn the water back on.
Check the drain hose
On front-loaders, a drain hose pushed too far into the standpipe can siphon water out during the fill. The hose end shouldn't be sealed into the drain and should sit the way your installation guide shows.
When to call a technician
Water supply, hoses and screens all fine and E11 still showing: the water inlet valve probably needs replacing, so call a technician. Weak pressure through the whole house is a plumber's job.

A washer that won't start usually has one of three simple problems: the control lock is on, the door or lid isn't fully latched, or the Start button wasn't held long enough (Whirlpool says up to 3 seconds on many models).
