How to fix Midea AS
Unplug and restart
Pull the plug, wait a minute or two, and plug it back in. Midea's manual gives this as the first thing to try.
Clean the front filter
With the unit unplugged, slide out the filter behind the front grille and wash it. A clean filter won't fix a dead sensor but it keeps the coil from icing in the meantime.
When to call a technician
If AS comes back after a restart, arrange service. The sensor is inside the cabinet.
