How to fix Carrier 47
Check the outdoor disconnect
Find the disconnect box on the wall next to the outdoor unit. Make sure its pull-out block is fully seated the right way round, or the lever is in the on position.
Check the panel
The outdoor unit has its own double breaker in your main panel. If it's tripped, push it fully off and then on. If it trips again straight away, stop.
When to call a technician
A breaker that won't hold, or power that's on everywhere and still code 47, means a wiring or disconnect fault that an electrician or HVAC technician should test.
