Safety first: unplug the washer (or switch off its breaker) before touching filters, hoses or panels. If you smell burning or gas, or see water near the outlet, stop and call a professional.

How to fix Electrolux EF0

  1. Check for water

Look under and around the washer. If water is near an outlet or the power cord, switch off the breaker rather than touching the plug, and turn off the water supply.

  2. Reduce detergent

Lots of foam means too much detergent. Use less, and make sure it's made for front-loaders (HE in the US).

  3. Rebalance the load

Spread the laundry evenly in the drum, adding or removing items so one heavy piece isn't on its own.

When to call a technician

Water leaking from inside the cabinet, or the warning returning with no foam or balance problem, needs a technician.
