Samsung Refrigerator 41 Error Code

Family Hub screen or software error. Here is what it means and how to clear it, easiest fix first.

41
Easy DIY fix

A 41 or 42 code with the interior blue lights blinking points to a fault in the Family Hub system. A 41C on three-door French-door Family Hub models is usually linked to a software update. These codes usually do not affect cooling.

Includes 41, 42 and 41C. 41C applies only to three-door French-door Family Hub models.

Safety first: unplug the refrigerator (or switch off its breaker) before touching filters, hoses or panels. If you smell burning or gas, or see water near the outlet, stop and call a professional.

How to fix Samsung 41

  1. Reboot the Family Hub

Find the Family Hub power switch on the inside top of the right-hand door. Turn it off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.

  2. Update the software

For 41C, make sure the latest software update is installed. The first time 41C appears after an update, tap OK to dismiss it.

When to call a technician

If 41 or 42 keeps returning after a reboot, or 41C reappears after the update, request service.
