About Bosch refrigerator error codes
Bosch home appliances are made by BSH Hausgeräte, part of the German Bosch Group. Bosch displays usually show an E followed by a number, such as E15 or E18, and the meaning can differ between European and North American models.
How to read Bosch refrigerator codes
Bosch fridges show faults as a code on the display. Bosch's North American support pages write them with two digits, such as E02, so note exactly what your display shows, including any leading zero.
Bosch's Canadian error code page defines only two fridge codes, E02 and E03. For any code it doesn't list, Bosch's answer is to call customer support at 1-800-944-2904 and have the model number ready.
Codes on European and North American Bosch fridges don't always match, and repair sites sometimes give different meanings for similar-looking codes. When a website and your manual disagree, trust the manual for your model number.
Of the 3 codes on this page, 0 usually have a simple fix you can do yourself, and 3 usually need a technician. Each guide says which is which, so you don't pay for a service call you don't need, and you don't attempt a repair that isn't safe.

Before you start
- Write down your model number. It's on a sticker, usually inside the door or lid, on the frame, or on the back or side panel. Parts and some code meanings depend on it.
- Try a reset. Unplug the refrigerator or switch off its breaker for 10 minutes. This clears many one-off glitches without tools.
- Check that the doors close fully and the vents inside aren't blocked by food. Give the fridge a few hours after any reset before judging the temperature.
