Maytag Dryer F1 E1 Error Code
Main control board fault (motor relay) on Maytag dryers.
The main electronic control has found a problem with itself. On Centennial dryers, Sears PartsDirect pins F1 E1 on a motor relay stuck on the board, which may leave the drum turning when it shouldn't. Older Bravos dryers report a main board failure as F-01.
Compatible models
Maytag Centennial (F1 E1) and Maytag Bravos (F-01) dryers, per Sears PartsDirect.
Also shown as
F1 E1 on Centennial models; F-01 on Bravos, where Sears says to unplug for 5 minutes before deciding the board has failed.
Difficulty
Try the basic checks, but the usual fix is a technician's job.

How to fix Maytag F1 E1
Cut power for 5 minutes
Turn off the breaker(s) or unplug the dryer and wait 5 minutes before restoring power. Start Timed Dry and watch it for a minute or two.
Shut it down if the drum won't stop
A drum that keeps turning after you press Power, or with the door open, is a sign of a stuck relay. Kill the power at the breaker and leave it off until the dryer is repaired.
When to call a technician
If the code returns after the long reset, the main control board needs testing and most likely replacement by a technician.
